This photograph shows a newly built, 8 square foot custom brooder box with a heating lamp and a keet waterer added. The heating lamp is not special equipment, but rather just a shop light with a 100 watt bulb. The light can be raised or lowered to control floor temperature in the brooder. 60-100 watt lights are usually ideal.
